Flight Tracking & Driver Communication – Vital for Smooth Pickup

Your driver will track your flight, and will monitor your flight. Once you’ve landed, you’ll receive a final email with your driver’s details.
. It is essential to communicate with your driver upon landing, especially if your flight is early or delayed. Flight tracking isn’t always 100% accurate—updates can be delayed or based on estimates. Keeping your driver informed ensures a smooth and timely pickup.

  • Call or Send a message when your plane lands

  • Update your driver on any delays at Security or baggage reclaim

  • Text or call, when you are exiting the terminal and are on the way to your meeting point, (if you have not booked meet and greet)

  • We cannot be held responsible for missed or delayed pickups if you do not keep your driver informed.

 

Tip 1: If you are struggling to find the meeting point, your driver can guide you to the pick-up point.​​​

Important Information - On arrival at Newcastle International Airport (NCL)

1) As soon as you’re able, please contact your driver — they will also try to reach you. This helps us coordinate your pickup smoothly.

Your driver will be waiting outside the airport grounds, so if you head to the meeting point without making contact first, they will not be there.

2) If we don’t receive contact from you and are unable to reach you, your driver will wait for up to 1 hour then mark as a 'no show'.

If there is no contact, your driver will mark it as a now show , this is non refundable. Please make sure you provide a correct & working phone number, this is your responsibilty. Where there is ongoing communication, we’re usually able to wait longer if your delayed.

3) If your delayed after Arrival i.e. due to lost luggage, passport control, or any other reason,

Please let your driver know as soon as possible so they can continue to wait where possible.

4) If your flight arrives Early, You might have been delayed but the flight made up time

It’s also advisable to keep us informed if you arrive earlier than expected, as flight arrival tracking boards are not always accurate and early communication helps us coordinate your pickup smoothly.

Flight Arrivals At Newcastle - Taxi & Minibus Pickup & Meeting Points 

 

One Terminal – Two Arrivals Halls

​Newcastle International Airport (NCL) has one main terminal, but passengers exit through two separate arrivals halls at each end of the terminal. The terminal is compact, and it takes only 5-6 minutes to walk between halls. Click here to view terminal map

  • International Arrivals – left/north side of the terminal

  • Domestic Arrivals – right/south side near Hilton Hotel & Metro station

Important Information - Taxi Availability At Newcastle International Airport (NCL)

There is no hackney or black cab taxi rank at Newcastle International Airport. You cannot walk out and hail a cab — all taxis must be prebooked. There is a Taxi booking desk outside International Arrivals, but you must join a long queue to make a booking on arrival.

  • During busy periods, it can take up to 30 minutes to reach the front of the queue.

  • After booking, you may wait an additional 30 minutes for a taxi to arrive, and the vehicle meeting point is a 5-minute walk from the desk.

  • On quieter days, waiting times may be around 10 minutes, but this can vary.

  • If you arrive at Domestic Arrivals, you will need to walk to the opposite side of the terminal to reach the desk.

​Where Will I Meet My Driver?

Your meeting point will depend on the type of vehicle you’ve booked — taxi or minibus — and whether you’ve selected our optional Meet & Greet service. Click here to view map of carparks and meeting points  Please Note you must contact your driver before proceeding to the meeting point.

  • Meet & Greet booked: Driver will meet you at the Arrivals Hall doors.

  • No Meet & Greet booked: Driver will meet you at the Express Car Park pickup zones:

How do i get to the meeting point from International Arrivals? – Left/North Side (Next to Greggs)

After passport control and baggage claim, exit at the far left end of the terminal beside Greggs.

Pickup Instructions:

  • Exit the arrivals doors (ground floor)

  • Cross the zebra crossing

  • Follow signs for Express Car Park:

How do i get to the meeting point from Domestic Arrivals? – Right/South Side (Near Hilton & Metro Terminal)

Domestic passengers exit at the far right end of the terminal.

Our Meet & Greet Service is very popular and designed to make your arrival at Newcastle Airport (NCL) as smooth and stress-free as possible. Your driver will meet you directly at the arrivals hall doors, assist with your luggage, and guide you to your waiting vehicle.

This service is ideal for passengers who want extra convenience, including families, elderly passengers, or those with reduced mobility. You can this service when making your booking.

Flight Departures from Newcastle - Taxi & Minibus Drop-Off Points

 

The main taxi and minibus drop-off point at Newcastle Airport (NCL) is the Express Pick-Up and Drop-Off Car Park, located immediately outside the terminal for quick and convenient access.

Your driver will unload your luggage and provide a trolley if needed.

For passengers who require extra help, we also offer a Check-In and Baggage Assist Service (see details below).

After drop-off, it’s less than 60 metres from the car park to the terminal doors.

  • Desk numbers change throughout the day; check the digital departure screens on arrival.

  • Jet2: Usually desks 5–17

  • easyJet & Ryanair: Online check-in required; bag drop desks available

  • British Airways, Emirates, KLM, TUI, & others: Desk numbers displayed on departure boards

Recommendations

  • Check in online whenever possible

  • Arrive 2 hours before short-haul flights

  • Arrive 3 hours before long-haul or charter flights

  • If travelling with hand luggage only, proceed directly to Security

  • Use the airport’s online terminal map to familiarise yourself before travelling
