What happens after I make my online booking? After you click book now on our website, you will receive an message with a unconfirmed booking reference. This is a provisional booking. We will review your booking request for vehicle availability within 8 hours and then email and text you, your confirmed booking. This will have your booking confirmation number and a link to pay now! (We do not take any payment until we have confirmed we have vehicle availability for your dates) Once you have received your booking confirmation, You have 24 hours to pay and secure your booking. What happens after i make my booking?

How do i receive a Business invoice? You do not need to request a an invoice. An Invoice will be attached to your emailed booking confirmation.

What Happens if my flight is delayed? Your flight will be monitored for its arrival time (early or late), and your driver will arrive at the airport 30 Mins after the flight lands. Included in the booking are 30 minutes of parking at the Pick-up point. Which is a total of 60 minutes wait time, after the flight lands. In our experience, this is more than enough time to get through the airport and arrive at the  meeting point. IF YOUR LATE, WE WAIT!

Where do I meet my driver? The meeting point at Newcastle Airport is the Express Pickup & drop off Green car park for Taxis and for minibuses the Express Minibus drop off car park next to the green car. Do You Need a Child Car Seat in Taxi or Minibus? In the UK, child car seats are not compulsory in a Taxi, Minicab, Minibus, Coach or Van. But only if they travel on a rear seat and wear an adult seat belt if they’re 3 or older and without a seat belt if they’re under 3. Taxi drivers are not required to provide them. HOWEVER lots of reputable firms do provide them at an additional cost. Can I pay the Newcastle Airport Taxi in cash or with a Card? All journeys need to paid within 24 Hours of your confirmation email to secure the booking and vehicle. Our drivers do not accept cash or card details in their vehicles, this is done for your convenience and to ensure the fare you book is the fare you pay, this avoids tariffs like in-car waiting charges. Flight Delays

  • Delays Under 3 Hours

    • We actively monitor your flight and will adjust to your new arrival time free of charge (FOC).

    • Note: If we are fully booked and unable to accommodate your new landing time, we will issue a 50% refund.

  • Delays Over 3 Hours

    • Non-Refundable

    • We will provide a payment receipt and invoice to help you claim compensation from your airline (details below).

    • If Availability Permits: We’ll offer you a 40% discount code to rebook at your updated arrival time.

 

Lost Baggage or Security Delays

Included in your booking is 90 minutes of complimentary driver wait time after your flight lands, giving you ample time to retrieve your baggage and clear security.

  • If the delay exceeds 90 minutes:

    • Notify your driver immediately to avoid inconvenience.

    • Additional waiting time is charged at £10 for every 20 minutes, in advance (97 min wait £10 is due, 110 min wait £20) payable directly to the driver in the vehicle.

What Happens if My flight is Canceled or I’m Delayed Over 3 Hours?

If your flight is delayed by more than three hours and the airline is responsible, you could be entitled to compensation of up to £520 per passenger. However, compensation isn’t guaranteed if the delay is caused by factors beyond the airline’s control, such as:

  • Extreme weather conditions

  • Airport or air traffic control strikes

  • Security risks

 

How Much Compensation Can You Claim?

The amount of compensation depends on the flight distance and the length of the delay. Here’s a breakdown of what you might be eligible for:

  • £220 for flights up to 1,500 km delayed by 3+ hours

  • £350 for flights between 1,500 km and 3,500 km delayed by 3+ hours

  • £260 for flights over 3,500 km delayed by 3–4 hours

  • £520 for flights over 3,500 km delayed by 4+ hours

Use a flight delay compensation checker to determine your eligibility. If entitled, you can claim compensation under EU Regulation 261, which remains part of UK law.

 

What Are Your Rights During the Delay?

While you’re waiting at the airport, the airline must provide you with the following support:

  1. Reasonable Food and Drink
    You may receive vouchers or reimbursement for meals.

  2. Communication Access
    This could include covering the cost of phone calls or internet access to keep in touch.

  3. Accommodation
    If your flight is rescheduled for the next day, the airline should arrange a hotel stay for you.

  4. Transport to Accommodation
    The airline must provide transportation to and from the hotel.

 

Claiming Reimbursement for Expenses

If you pay for any of these services yourself, keep receipt, invoice to claim reimbursement from the airline. Note that only reasonable expenses will be covered. For example:

  • Standard meals are eligible, but luxury dining is unlikely to be reimbursed. 

  • Pre-Booked Canceled Taxi Fares

  • Budget-friendly accommodation will be covered, but five-star hotels may not qualify.
